About the poem

Faiz Ahmed Faiz wrote ‘Philistini Bachhe Ke Liye Lori’, A lullaby for a Palestinian child - in response to Israeli gunships bombing civilians and refugee camps in the 1980s.

It traces the journey of a child who has lost her loved ones to war, a narrative all too relevant today around the world.

In essence, this poem reveals the great depths of loss and grief. And hope.

Colour Palette

The entire music video has warm & sepia tones in.

For styling of the characters, the focus is on neutral tones like shades of white, brown, beige & grey.

For art & props: the colours include textures of wood, shades of brown, grey & white. Accent colours like reds, greens & subtle hints of gold are also used.
